Vetbed Logo

1. What is it made of:
Branded polyester (therefore always made to the same high specification), with a double woven backing covered in latex.

2. Is it non-slip?
No.

3. Can it be put straight on the floor/concrete?
Yes, Vetbed can either be used inside a plastic oval bed or direct onto the floor/carpet or even outside in the kennel.

4. Is it washable?
Yes, completely machine washable, and quick drying.

5. How long will it last?
It can last up to 10 years in normal domestic use.

6. Does it come in other colours?
Yes, white, grey, brown, mink and green.

7. Is it the Original?
Yes, Petlife’s Vetbed has been going for 20 years now, and although there are a lot of look-a-likes on the market, no-one has yet matched it in quality (this is why it costs more than the cheaper look-a-likes on the market today). Vetbed Original is printed as such on the back.

8. What is the difference between this and the cheaper versions?
They may look very similar when they are new, but Vetbed™Original from Petlife stands the test of time. It can be washed and washed and still looks good – users tell us it last and lasts.

9. Is it resistant to chewing?
No, if your dog’s going to chew, it will still chew this, although it is probably the strongest veterinary bedding because of the double woven backing covered in latex it’s very strong and durable.

Other points:
  • Vetbed is recommended by vets and the one they use the most.
  • Vetbed has excellent drainage properties – if your pet has an "accident" it will drain straight through the bed, leaving the top dry so your pet stays warm and dry.
  • Vetbed is versatile – it is easy to carry around and can be taken on holiday with you to keep your pet more secure in unfamiliar surroundings e.g. in car, caravan, aeroplane etc.
  • Vetbed is hygienic, non-irritant and non-allergic.
  • Vetbed keeps younger animals more secure and aids grip.
  • Vetbed keeps older animals happy and they enjoy improved comfort and mobility as the constant warmth aids muscles and joints.
  • Vetbed is stain resistant and non-toxic.

    2. What is Critical Care?
Critical Care is made with a timothy hay base and supplemented with oat groats and wheat germ for added energy that is needed by nutritionally stressed animals that are ill, recovering from surgery, or need additional food supplementation. 6. It’s too thick; can I mix more water with the Critical Care?

    10. What happens if I feed outdated Critical Care product to my pet?
Critical Care will still work as an appetite stimulant on a short term basis, even if the product is outdated. For long term use do not use outdated product.
*For additional information on nutritional management contact your veterinarian or call Oxbow Pet Products.

    11. Why can’t I purchase Critical Care in a store or on the website?
Critical Care is designed for animals that are not eating. When an animal is not eating, it is a symptom of an underlying health problem that must be diagnosed properly by an animal health care provider. The pet may have an intestinal blockage, which could be made worse by force-feeding food into the system. By not addressing the underlying health problem, your animal’s condition may get worse instead of better.
