Vetbed

"I still have a green-backed white Vetbed which I purchased in the early 1970's for my greyhound. This has since been passed on to my Dachshund, cross-breed and German Shephard Dog, and its still going strong despite of a few nibble holes. I cannot praise Vetbed enough."

“I have always used Vetbed in my surgeries as it is the safest, most comfortable, fast drying and durable in-patient bedding I have found on the market. The real benefit of Vetbed I believe over some cheaper alternatives is the robust weave of the base making destruction and ingestion by the pet much less likely. We wash the beds at least once a day, with minimal shrinkage and loss of fibre. I can wholeheartedly recommend this product.”

"I keep rabbits and have recently rescued a Rex, a breed that is notorious for sore feet. To cut a long story short, my poor rabbit has had extremely sore feet for weeks. The vet was unable to help, as my rabbit wouldn’t tolerate the bandages. Lotions and creams also failed to help, his feet were so sore, he could barley stand and I thought the kindest thing would be to put him to sleep. Anyway I was shopping in pets at home and saw your Vetbed, when I was nursing we used a similar item for pressure sore treatment so a few days ago with a combination of a large indoor cage and the vetbed, my rabbits feet went from red and sore to pink and healthy. It’ll take a while before he’s able to run around the garden again, but I’m certain we will get there! I am a member of the rabbit welfare association and subscribe to Fur and Feathers magazine so I’ll be contacting them to advise them on Vetbed. Also I breed rabbits on a small scale for the pet trade and will eventually get my pregnant and nursing does one each."

"We are really pleased with our Vetbed’s at the Avenue Veterinary Centre in Grantham. We have found no other bedding that keeps our patients so dry and warm, providing a high level of comfort. It is especially good for our kennel bound animals the thick pile preventing pressure sores, and the moisture wicking ability preventing urine soiling.
It washes well, time after time, and is quick drying, an essential feature in a busy practice with a high turnover of patients! We love the fact we can cut it to size to fit our kennels, and it comes in a great range of colours! We recommend Vetbed Gold to all our clients with atopic animals and feel it plays a huge role in reducing contact with house mites in their enjoyment. Thanks to Petlife for a great product!"

"My 8mth old alsation was hit by two cars on the 13th of may, she has two fractures on her pelvis. She spent three days in the vets, I noticed the bed she was lying on and asked about it . The nurse told me that it was a vetbed. I bought one and it turned out to be a fantastic purchase. Because she could not get up to go to the loo, she wet her bed, and the bed did everything it said it would. It kept her dry and comfortable,so I went back and bought another one for my 9yr old alsation. Thanks petlife its a great product."

"Earlier this week we registered purchase of our Vetbed - this has rapidly become a very popular resting place for our dog, Dougal. Your complimentary bottle of "Pet Wizard" arrived, swiftly, today. Put to immediate use, this has proved excellent on a longstanding stubborn carpet stain, on which other preparations have had no discernable effect. We'll certainly be replacing this product, which definitely lives up to its name, when it's finished!"

Oxbow Critical Care

“Rabbits are admitted to veterinary care for a variety of reasons but they all have one thing in common: the need for good quality dietary fibre. If a rabbit does not eat within hours of admission, the prognosis for any case gets worse due to the risk of gastrointestinal failure. The Oxbow range of diets is ideally suited where rabbits and other herbivores such as guinea pigs, chinchillas and tortoises need hospitalisation and supportive care. I find that the products are of a consistent and extraordinary quality and most patients are immediately tempted by the fresh smell of Western Timothy Hay or Alfalfa Nibbles. Both healthy and sick rabbits take quickly to the pellet food varieties as well and customers report hardly any problems converting their pets to Oxbow feeds. In very sick rabbits that do not feed voluntarily, Oxbow’s Critical Care Formula is invaluable for syringe feeding and both practice staff and owners at home find it very easy to use. The results of feeding Critical Care Formula are very positive with patients returning to a normal state of digestion quickly due to the high fibre content of the formula.
Although primarily conceived as a feed range for rabbits, cavies and chinchillas, I find the products increasingly useful for tortoises as well and with supplementary products such as Papaya Tablets, Vitamin C tablets and treats, this is a nice professional product range to use and sell in a veterinary practice.”

Eco-horse bedding

"We have found eco-horse bedding to be a great alternative to wood shavings. It ios very soft and comfortable for the horse. It is very absorbent. great for deep littering and easy to spot clean with little waste. Most important it is dust free and my horses haven't coughed since we started using it."
